JV Field Hockey Write-Up

JVFH had an exciting finish to our season! We started the week with an away game against Hackley, and although we lost, we scored our first goal of the season! It was unclear who scored it, but our team was excited to have scored our first goal. We saw some strong defense from Freshman Luka Janovic, Sophomore Sophia Karson, Freshman Sydney Pessin, and our amazing goalie, Freshman Savannah Carrasquillo. It was a really good game for JVFH, and we practiced a new technique of surrounding the opponent and creating a wall to prevent them from passing us, which helped us keep the ball on the offensive side. The final score was 1-3.

Our last game was against Riverdale. JVFH was hyped for this game because not only was it our last game, but we had lost to Riverdale before and tied with them, and with our first goal of the season, we were ready to win. The winning goal was scored by Freshman Annalise Schuster. Our first win of the season! Overall, it was a great week to finish off the season.
