On Wednesday, October 23rd, a warm, sunny, and fall day, the JV boys soccer team finished their season. It was a sad but fitting week that ended the season. The team lost by a close score of 0-1 on Monday and then lost again 0-3 on Wednesday, finishing the season with a record of 2 wins and 12 losses. However, like most games this year, the final score didn’t show the way the team played. In Monday’s 0-1 loss to Hackley, the team played well but got unlucky late in the game and it turned a tie into a loss. On Wednesday, the team seemed like they didn’t have the passion for trying and adding a final W in the win column. Even though the team welcomed back captain Jack DiCola (sophomore) after missing most of the season due to a concussion, they were still unable to win. It was a surprising season for the team because last year the team had a much better record. This season could very well be called “a transition season.” However, the team looks forward to a long break before starting again with a new perspective next fall.
